Remember when a year ago we conducted a research among 8-grade school students in Riga to understand how likely it is for them to pursue their careers in IT industry? If not, you can read more about it here. Knowing that only 2,1% of girls and 12,7% of boys are planning to have a career in IT, for two years in a row we are working on challenging the existing situation and showing the truly creative and indulging aspects of programming to disrupt children's' prejudice about the industry.
So what we have come up with this time? Children programmed light installation during the Staro Riga festival. Staro Riga will take place during this Friday-Sunday and you will find our installation in the courtyard of Riga State Gymnasiums No. 3, Grecikienu iela 10. Interactive projection created by twelve-year-olds will explore the space and stars through children's eyes. Come and see it yourself!
