We are careful when doing business and particularly when entering into new markets.
When entering into Kazakhstan in 2009/2010 we performed thorough DD processes checking relevant risks, partners, payments, political climate and agreements etc. We bought our assets from Kazakhtelecom, a listed company on the London Stock Exchange - for example, so the UK anti-corruption laws applies. We have had two major events during the year where we presented information about KZ, our anti-corruption work, our operations and how auctions for licensies are held; the first being the CR CMD the 9th of April and the second a CR Roundtable the 11th of October. The presentations including QA sessions from the first CR CMD are available here.
