Meet Iman

Iman Dualeh, IT Talent

What does it mean being IT talent?

Being an IT talent means being the new eyes to a progressive company. Fresh ideas, new perspectives and an opportunity to grow alongside the company. For an IT talent at Tele2, such as myself, it means the opportunity to invest in my skills and development with the aid of the best in the market.

What made Tele2 stand out from other employers?

Tele2’s values are what stood out to me. I was even lucky enough to visit the head office before my recruitment and Tele2’s values reflected brightly on the employees. The atmosphere at the office is welcoming and buzzing, exactly the environment that motivates me to work.

Describe a typical day at work?

My day starts with an inbox check, reading all the emails I received since the previous day. Following the emails is the daily team meetings in the morning, here we discuss the progress and to-do’s for the day. My next stop depends on the day but typically involves more meetings. We’re continuously learning new and different techniques for our team to work as well as developing small projects.

Which is your favorite company value?

Openness!

What is your best career advice for students who are about to start their careers?

Find a trainee program! Especially one that matches your interests and a company that shares the same values as you.

What did you do before you entered the IT talent program?

I was a student studying computer engineering at KTH.

What surprised you the most when you started at Tele2?

How big the company is!

Why do you recommend applying for the program?

If you’re applying after university like I did then it’s a great way to kick start your career!

Find a trainee program! Especially one that matches your interests and a company that shares the same values as you.
