Oscar Bäärnhielm, Group COO Trainee
Avid skier, recreational climber.
Did the Kessel Run in almost 14 parsecs.
If you had to choose one dish for the rest of your life:
Schwartz's Pastrami on rye (no pickle) with a Cherry Coke on the side.
Why did you apply for a role with Tele2?
Great company, rebellious at heart, with a very interesting journey ahead. I wanted to be a part of that journey.
What did you do before?
Most recently, Public Affairs.
Describe a typical day at Tele2:
I can't. Tele2 does not do typical. Every day is pretty much unique.
What challenges are you facing in your day-to-day job?
Most of the challenges I face are about having a big picture perspective while at the same time addressing details relevant to Tele2's operations.
What was the biggest surprise when you started at Tele2?
That I haven't met one single person yet that I have not liked in one way or another. Can't say if the feeling has been mutual.
What is your best career advice for students who are about to start their careers?
Your ability to do a great job out in the real world has nothing to do with your grade transcript. Your real education starts the day you graduate. Say yes to everything, big or small, and always reflect on what you have learned from the stuff you do. And learn to love coffee, if you have not already.
