Meet Felicia

Felicia Dahlström, EVP IT Trainee

What does it mean being a CIO Trainee?
Being a CIO trainee means that you are a trainee for the executive of the IT department at Tele2. The CIO is responsible for IT at the company. IT can be found in everything regarding strategy, technology and processes between the network and the customer. When you work at IT you are engaged with all parts of the company both business and technology. It is developing rapidly all over society and is also a very central part of Tele2, both within the organization itself, but also the business and the product we sell which makes it both very challenging and exciting. As a trainee in IT you also get to run your own projects which will really push your boundaries, and it is incredibly developing.

Describe a typical day at work?

Well, there is no such thing as a typical day, but things I do every week is following my executive at his meetings as well as running my own projects. I get some very much appreciated lunch time with the other trainees too. During these Corona times I have meetings both in the office and digitally over Teams.

What are the highlights of your day?
Everytime when I realize that all day has just gone by in a blink of an eye, I know that I’ve had so many interesting meeting and conversations that day. It makes me really happy about my job and is truly a highlight of the day.

What surprised you the most when you started at Tele2?
How we actually live by our values. It’s something I heard a lot about in the recruitment process, but I expected it to be included only to a certain level. So, when I started I got really surprised that it truly is something that is part of our daily work, and not just fancy words in a PowerPoint.

What is most interesting/exciting with working at Tele2?
The most exciting thing with working at Tele2 is the high pace and everything that is happening, all over the company, all the time.

How much time to get to spend with the other trainees?

It is different from week to week, but usually we eat lunch together, make sure we have some after-works planned and depending on the projects that I’m working on, we sometimes get to work together. Of course we also meet in the trainings which has been a lot of fun and a good way to get to know each other really well.

As a trainee in IT you also get to run your own projects which will really push your boundaries, and it is incredibly developing.
