New welcome sms in the light of the Crimea crisis

In the light of the Crimea crisis, Tele2 decided to review its sms welcoming our subscribers to different countries and informing them about traffic costs. The review lead to changes where we are now welcoming subscribers to networks instead of countries.

The NGO Emmaus also addressed the issue regarding welcome sms in occupied countries. Tele2 feels strongly about Human Rights. When there are cases of occupation, it is a problem if our subscribers receive texts saying that they are welcomed to a certain country, if the country is not officially recognized. We have therefore found a solution that implies that subscribers will be informed only about which network they have entered and not the specific country.
