Tele2 IoT enters Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Managed M2M Services Worldwide

After less than four years as a dedicated IoT Communications Service Provider, Tele2 IoT is named a Niche Player out of 21 global IoT providers in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant.

In the last three years Tele2 IoT has grown with more than 80 percent annually, currently has 150 employees and customers with devices in 160 countries. This year, Tele2 IoT was included in the October 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed M2M Services, Worldwide.

Rami Avidan, CEO Tele2 IoT, comments: “We believe that Gartner’s inclusion of us in the quadrant is a proof point of us delivering on our IoT strategy with the vision to become the orchestrator of a smarter world. We also see this as a recognition of our unique offer in the IoT market”.  

When assessing Tele2’s IoT services, Gartner looked at two key areas:

  • Completeness of vision - market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering (product) strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy
  • Ability to execute - product or service offering, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness/record, marketing execution, customer experience and operations

Based on the evaluation, Gartner positioned Tele2 IoT the highest for Ability to Execute in the Niche Players quadrant.
