Amanda Abdali, Store Employee - Business Specialist and Trainer

 

What do you do at Tele2? How long have you been working at Tele2?
I work in the store at Triangeln, Malmö and have done so since the beginning of 2017 when I started working extra in the store. After a couple of months I got a new role full time and today I work as a Business Specialist and Trainer in the same store.

What a trip you have made! What made you want to become a Business Specialist and Trainer?
When I started at Tele2, I thought it was difficult with business sales and I was very afraid of making mistakes. I had heard that you could develop into Business Specialist which sounded like an exciting challenge so when I saw that they were looking for someone new I wanted to take the chance. It is a Business Specialist's responsibility to ensure that everyone feels secure with what we are selling and it felt fun and challenging to take on that responsibility. What if I can be a contributing factor to fewer people feeling as uncertain about business sales as I did in the beginning? It has been a fun trip and I have really been pleasantly surprised by how much you can do in the stores organization - I had not expected that when I applied for a job a couple of years ago!

What does it mean to be a Business Specialist/Trainer?
As a Business Specialist, I am responsible for pursuing the company sales in the store and ensuring that all my colleagues feel safe and up-to-date when it comes to new business campaigns. Being a Trainer is quite new to me, but in short, it is about educating our store sellers. I am responsible for the Malmö office and will train the employees at the stores nearby aswell. Right now there is a lot of focus on educating within our new ComHem products but eventually it will also include introductory courses etc.

What is the best thing about your job?
I have been particularly pleasantly surprised that everyone I come in contact with is so professional, driven and serious. That motivates me a lot! The sales industry may have poor reputation in some areas - but Tele2 has always felt like a serious company that treats both customers and employees in a good way.

What is it that makes you enjoy working at Tele2? Why should anyone choose Tele2?
It is a company that takes care of its employees - in many different ways. A company that really lives up to its values in every step.
