Alva Håkansdotter
Trainee EVP DCT
Before joining Tele2, Alva studied information and communication technology at KTH with a master’s in industrial management. Most of her professional experience during university centered around software development, including a summer internship as a full-stack developer at Ericsson. In her free time, she enjoys all things crafty and creative. Whether it’s knitting a sweater or building a wooden table, Alva loves projects that allow her to work with her hands.
What led you to choose Tele2?
What attracted me to Tele2 was twofold. First, I was intrigued by the opportunity to gain insight into one of society’s most critical infrastructures: the telecom industry. The chance to understand how such a complex and essential system operates behind the scenes truly drew me in. Second, I was equally inspired by the company culture. Tele2’s mindset of challenging the status quo and embracing change to continuously improve made it feel like the ideal place to start my career.
What will you be doing as a CTIO trainee?
As a CTIO trainee, I’ll be working closely with the Head of Digital Capabilities & Technology and his leadership team to support strategic projects and gain a comprehensive understanding of how Tele2 delivers value. Over the year, I’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across our four divisions – TV, IT, Networks, and Service Operations – to build hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and support strategic initiatives.
What are you most looking forward to during the year?
What I’m most looking forward to is the opportunity to learn from experienced leaders and experts within Tele2, and to be part of projects that drive real change. I’m excited to explore the reality behind how technology and innovation transform our world and to get one step closer to knowing what roll in this transformation I want to have.
Which of our core values do you like best, and why?
Make it simple is the core value that resonates most with me. I believe striving for simplicity promotes both efficiency and accessibility. Thereby, when we prioritize simplicity, we not only work smarter, but we also create better experiences for our customers and colleagues.
