How come you picked Tele2?
When I first applied to Tele2, I was attracted by its strong commitment to sustainability and its role in the dynamic, fast-paced telecom industry. As I learned more, I realized that what truly distinguishes Tele2 is its unique culture and the people who drive it.
What also convinced me was seeing Tele2 return to its roots, once again challenging the entire telecom industry. That combination of purpose, culture, and boldness made the choice an easy one.
What will you be doing as a CFO trainee?
As a CFO trainee, I will gain a broad overview of the financial operations of the Tele2 Group. My main focus will be supporting our Group CFO, Peter Landgren, and the Finance leadership team, while also contributing to projects that strengthen and develop both the Group and the finance function.
One of the great aspects of the trainee role is the flexibility to shape it according to your interests. In my case, I have worked closely with Investor Relations, and I will dedicate a significant part of the year to exploring and implementing automation and AI within Finance — an area I believe holds great potential for the future.
What are you most looking forward to during the year?
For me, this year is about growth. I look forward to learning from the many inspiring people at Tele2, from working alongside the leadership teams to collaborating with the many brilliant talents across the company.
I am also excited about the variety the trainee program brings: the challenges, opportunities, and lessons that will come along the way, as well as deepening my understanding of the industry and being part of Tele2’s ongoing journey.
Which of our core values do you like best, and why?
I believe all of Tele2’s values are foundational, each playing a unique role in guiding how we work. While Act cost-efficient might seem like the obvious choice for someone in finance, I would have to pick Make it simple.
In a fast-paced environment, we are constantly faced with complex challenges. To me, Make it simple is about stepping back, reflecting, and asking whether we are doing things in the best possible way. It is a mindset that helps cut through complexity and create clarity, which I see as an especially important part of Tele2’s culture, one that goes back to Jan Stenbeck’s legacy of challenging conventions, which the company is now embracing again.
