Ellen Wahlgren
B2C trainee
From launching a new brand identity to a week on the store floor. Ellen’s trainee year has spanned both strategy and customer interaction. Along the way, she’s experienced what makes Tele2 unique as a workplace.

Why Tele2?
“Telecom is a mature industry where innovation is key to differentiate from competitors and create real customer value. At Tele2, that challenger mindset really stands out – things move fast, and trainees are trusted with real responsibility. What’s unique is that you can shape your own year around what excites you most. And don’t hesitate to apply even you don’t have a telecom background – curiosity and drive are what truly matters.”
How would you describe your trainee year?
“My year has been a mix of learning, contributing, and being challenged in the best way. I have had the chance to learn from talented colleagues and work closely with senior leadership – not only observing major decisions but also influencing them. Seeing how strategy is shaped and turned into action has been an experience I will carry with me throughout my career.”
What has been the highlight of your trainee year?
“One of the most valuable experiences was spending a week in a Tele2 store, in both Skärholmen and the new Gallerian location. Observing customer interactions gave me unique perspective on customer needs and how strategic decisions translate into the everyday experience. Another memorable project was Tele2’s brand relaunch. Seeing the rollout of a new visual identity, a refreshed design, and the return of our iconic sheep Frank in commercials come to life was incredibly inspiring. It was fascinating to follow the project end-to-end and witness all the decisions that shaped it.”
What’s next for you?
“I will take on the role as Commercial Manager for broadband at Comviq, covering both mobile and fixed broadband. I’m genuinely excited about this next step – not only to dive deeper into the broadband business, but also to work closely with our sales departments, as sales will be a big focus for me going forward. I’m looking forward to contributing to and learning from the many exciting projects ahead that will shape Comviq’s growth.”
Any advice to future trainees?
“Keep your perspective broad – use the year to explore different areas and absorb as much knowledge as possible. And don’t hold back your perspectives. Being at the start of your career means you bring fresh insights, and that’s exactly what makes your contribution valuable.”
