CFO trainee

As CFO Trainee, Hanna has worked at the heart of Tele2’s Finance organisation. From day one, she has been involved in quarterly reporting and investor relations, gaining fast insights into financial processes and while working with the CFO and finance leadership team. 

What does being a CFO Trainee actually involve? 
“Working closely with the CFO and the Finance Leadership Team has given me valuable insight into decision-making at the highest level. Being a CFO Trainee also means being part of everything happening across Finance and Tele2. It’s been  a challenging and rewarding year, but also fun with plenty of humour in the team.” 
 

What has been your biggest challenge? 
“Time management. There’s always more to learn and do than there are hours in the day. I’ve had to prioritise clearly, and starting my mornings early has helped me stay focused and make the most of my time.” 
 

What’s next for you at Tele2? 
“I will continue in Finance and step into my new role as Financial Analyst. It’s a broad role with a focus on data and our financial systems, where I’ll also keep working with AI and Automation initiatives and serve as Data Migration Lead in our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) project. I look forward to continuing to contribute to how we work in Finance.“ 
 

What advice would you give to future trainees? 
“Be open about what you know, and what you don’t. Ask questions, share ideas, and give yourself time to learn; you’re not expected to have all the answers from day one. Don’t limit yourself to roles that perfectly match your academic background. Every trainee position at Tele2 combines strategy and collaboration, so focus on the area you’re most curious about and stay open to opportunities.” 

Education: Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from KTH, where she studied Industrial Engineering and Management. One exchange semester in Singapore. 
Previous experience: Carnegie Investment Bank and SEB.
