Hardy Keller

CEO trainee

Originally from Estonia, Hardy spent the past five years living abroad. After earning degrees in economics and management with a specialization in international business from the Stockholm School of Economics and Lund University, he was eager to begin a new chapter at Tele2.

Before joining Tele2, he worked at Analysys Mason on projects in the TMT sector, where his interest in telecom first began. He also gained valuable experience as an FP&A analyst at EF Education First, an operations professional at Tier Mobility, and a data analyst at a tech startup. Beyond the private sector, he completed eight months of mandatory military service as an emergency medical technician.

In his free time, Hardy enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with family and friends. Naturally curious and open-minded, he is always ready to explore new ideas and perspectives.

What attracted you to Tele2?

Working with cutting-edge technology that shapes our daily lives is highly rewarding. Tele2 stands out as a leader in innovation, constantly pushing boundaries to deliver the best connectivity. It’s something I’ve long appreciated as a customer, and now I’m excited to contribute to that mission myself.

Another factor that drew me to Tele2 is the trust and responsibility given to trainees.

What will you be doing as an CEO trainee?

I will be working in close collaboration with CEO Jean Marc and the Group Leadership Team (GLT). Being able to steer meetings at the top management level is a unique experience that fast-tracks your development and equips you with the skills needed to become a top executive.

Furthermore, my focus is allocated to two high-impact areas where I can create value based on my expertise.

With rapid digitalization ongoing in Tele2, intelligent automation has become a key area that allows employees to shift their focus to real value-generating activities rather than mundane tasks. I am being onboarded to become a Center of Excellence lead, giving me the opportunity to manage intelligent automation initiatives across business units.

Finally, I am working alongside EVP Torkel Sigurd and assisting in creating the first pan-Baltic tower company. The tasks range from negotiating cross-border insurance agreements to creating dashboards to streamline project management.

What are you most looking forward to during the year?

I’m looking forward to working with highly motivated and talented people across the organization and learning as much as possible from them. Tele2’s journey forward will challenge everyone in unique ways, and I’m excited to contribute during this historic time.

Which of our core values do you like best, and why?

Make it simple. Growing up in the countryside taught me to value simplicity, and I believe common sense goes a long way in every aspect of life.

In a world where technology often adds complexity, there’s real value in making things easy to understand. Explaining complex ideas in simple terms is surprisingly challenging—and it’s a skill I look forward to developing during my trainee year.
