Upcoming changes in Tele2’s Group Leadership Team

Stockholm – Tele2 AB (“Tele2”) (Nasdaq Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) today announced that Mikael Larsson, Executive Vice President Group CFO, and Samuel Skott, Executive Vice President Chief Commercial Officer, will both leave the company on 1 September 2021.

Mikael Larsson joined Tele2 in 2018 as former CFO of Com Hem. He has played an instrumental part in the successful merger and in the following transformation of Tele2, including the international consolidation and the steps towards 5G, Remote PHY and fixed-mobile convergence. Mikael has been CFO for listed companies during the last twenty years and now desires to change perspective. He will leave Tele2 on 1 September 2021 to assume the role of Operating Partner at the investment firm Triton.

He has ensured that Tele2 and Com Hem combined their businesses into the strong, resilient and highly cash generative company Tele2 is today. Samuel Skott joined Tele2 in 2005 and obtained experience from several leading commercial and product oriented roles before he assumed the full responsibility for Tele2’s Swedish B2C unit. Most recently as Chief Commercial Officer, Samuel lead the preparation and launch of the newly combined Tele2 brand, integrating the previous Com Hem services into one new converged Tele2. After 16 years at Tele2, Samuel has decided to pursue new opportunities and will leave Tele2 on 1 September 2021.

He has successfully executed on our more-for-more strategy and has brought our commercial capabilities for mobile, broadband and entertainment together to pave way for future converged offerings. I thank Samuel for everything he’s given Tele2 and wish him all the best in his future endeavors, says Kjell Johnsen.

The search for suitable replacements for the Tele2 Group Leadership Team will commence immediately.
