Stockholm - Tele2 AB, ("Tele2"), (Stockholm Stock Exchange: TEL2 A and TEL2 B), announced today that Tele2 has been awarded a mobile license in Latvia of 2 x 20 MHz in the 2.6 GHz frequency band for approximately SEK 9 million.
This frequency is specifically suited for next generation mobile broadband (LTE) and Tele2 Latvia considers the license an important step to further develop its mobile operations. The frequency will become available as from 2014 and Tele2 Latvia will have rights to use it for the next 15 years.
The awarded license makes it possible for Tele2 Latvia to continue offering price leading and innovative products both for residential and business customers.
