Meet Delmon

Delmon Barkino, EVP B2B Trainee

What does it mean being an EVP B2B trainee?
It means being the right hand person and sounding board of an executive who’s managing almost a separate company. B2B is a huge unit with around 1000 employees with operations, sales, product management and commercial within the same unit. In B2B we sell and deliver products and solutions to the public sector and to companies of all sizes. This also means that you can do projects within every part of the business.

What surprised you the most when you started at Tele2?
The level of responsibility I faced from day one, but also that my executive had a great deal of confidence in me and was interested in hearing my ideas.

What made Tele2 stand out from other employers?
When talking to old trainees I got the impression that Tele2 is an employer that invests in you and makes sure that you get something out of all the effort you put in during your year as trainee. In addition to this, the fact that Tele2 is the disruptor in a very interesting and constantly changing industry was exciting.

Describe a typical day at work!
The days vary quite much but a typical day could include meetings with customers, partner firms, and B2B management. I always try to get some time in between meetings where I can work with presentation material or do some analytical work on the projects I’m on.

What part do you enjoy the most in your role as trainee?
Exchanging ideas with top management on how to tackle a challenge or issue and the level of responsibility I get.

What is most interesting/exciting about working at Tele2?
Working with products and technology that will make an impact with fun and intelligent colleagues.

What is the working environment like?
High paced environment with a lot of fun at B2B. Help is given if you ask for it.
