Klara Folke 

Trainee CTIO

Klara holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from KTH and also has a background in dance, having worked professionally as a dancer before turning to tech. 

 

Her experience spans software development, consulting at BCG, investment banking at SEB and product team at the legal AI startup Legora. She has also founded her own startup and describes herself as a generalist at heart who enjoys learning by doing.

Outside of work, Klara continues to dance and enjoys staying active through swimming and skiing. Living in Norra Djurgården , she also spends much of her free time outdoors and in nature.

What attracted you to Tele2?

My interest in telecom started during an exchange semester at TU Delft, in a course run with the largest Dutch operator. What I took from it was how much of society runs through this kind of infrastructure — and  that's the scale I want to work at.

 

I want to work at the forefront of something bigger, and Tele2 is where I found that: high ambitions, a challenger spirit, and genuinely kind people with deep knowledge of what they do.

What will you be doing as a CTIO trainee?

This year is about getting to know DCT from every angle — everything from being out in the field with our technicians to following our CTIO Ove through his work. Right now I'm working on Tele2 Tech, a company-wide technology course built together with other  experts from across the division. It runs this autumn, come by!

What are you most looking forward to during the year?

The access and the overview. It's rare to be in the room where decisions of this scale  gets made this early in a career, and that's  what this year offers — learning how strategy takes shape and turns into something real at every level. And not only observing it. As I get to know DCT, I want to find the places where I can genuinely contribute.

Which of Tele2’s core values resonates with you the most, and why?

Take action. To me it's about grit — being the person who keeps going when something turns out to be harder than expected, rather than waiting for the perfect moment or perfect information. The people I look up to most are the doers who aren’t  afraid to move first to gain momentum and  pivot as they go.
