Meet Sara

Sara Milovanovic, EVP CCO Trainee

What does it mean being a CCO trainee?
As a trainee to Tele2’s EVP Chief Commercial Officer you are working closely with the entire commercial organization, hence everything from marketing, sales and customer service to TV content acquisition. Being involved in such a wide range of activities means that you get broad knowledge across all commercial units and the opportunity to deep dive into any topic that interests you!

Describe a typical day at work!
There is no such thing as a typical day when you’re working as a trainee at Tele2, but that’s what makes it so much fun! However, I’m always accompanying my executive in all his meetings, while also running my own projects. Normally I try to catch up with the other trainees during lunch hour and grab a coffee with colleagues in the afternoon now that we’re allowed back in the office again.

What are the highlights of your day?
The highlights of my day is definitely all the talented people I get to work with on a daily basis. As a trainee you get an incredible network within the organization and everyone is very happy to share their knowledge with you.

What surprised you the most when you started at Tele2?
The collaborative environment! It’s truly a workplace where you can reach out to almost anyone no matter position in the organization to learn more about what they do or get their input on certain projects. Stepping into a new company and industry can be intense at first, but the organization has really been an amazing support.

What motivates you being at Tele2?
The people and working for a company that really lives by its values.

What is your best career advice for students who are about to start their careers?
Having studied for a number of years and then taking that first step into the real world can be scary and intense, but my best advice would be to not put too much pressure on yourself and remember that you’re still on a journey of learning. Take the opportunity to learn from senior people around you and try different paths to find out what interests you.

How much time to get to spend with the other trainees?
We try to have lunch together as often as possible and to arrange different activities outside of office hours. However, even if we don’t see each other every day we definitely talk several times a day, both work related but also just to support and joke around in the Teams chat!

As a trainee you get an incredible network within the organization and everyone is very happy to share their knowledge with you.
