TELE2'S ACQUISTION OF 75.1% OF E.ON BREDBAND IS APPROVED BY THE SWEDISH COMPETITION AUTHORITY

Stockholm- Tele2 AB, ("Tele2"), (Stockholmsbörsen: TEL2A and TEL2B), Europe's leading alternative telecoms operator, today announced that the Swedish Competition Authority has given its approval for Tele2's acquisition of 75.1% of E.ON Bredband. The deal is now expected to close on or around August 1, 2006.
