Mats Almgren to head Tele2’s newly combined B2B operations

Stockholm – Tele2 AB (“Tele2”) (Nasdaq Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) today announces the appointment of Mats Almgren as new Executive Vice President, Tele2 B2B and member of the Group Leadership Team. Mats has a solid experience from the Business to Business segment and the Telecoms industry with previous positions at Telenor, TDC and most recently as Senior Vice President at SJ AB. He will succeed Fredrik Stenberg who will leave the company after a handover period.

Tele2 recently combined the SME (Small Medium Enterprise) and LE (Large Enterprise) departments into one joint Tele2 B2B organization. The appointment of Mats Almgren injects a solid experience from the business to business segment and from serving customers in a broad cross section of industries.

Mats has held senior positions within for example Telenor, TDC and Canal Digital, and most recently at the Swedish railway operator SJ. Mats will join Tele2 on 18th January 2021, report to CEO Kjell Johnsen and be a member of the Group Leadership Team.

As a consequence of this announcement, Fredrik Stenberg, current EVP, Tele2 B2B will leave Tele2, after securing a smooth handover.
