Meet Sara

IT Talent

What does it mean being an IT talent?
It is a smooth transition from studying to working as a developer. You get the chance to learn from the best with an incredible amount of support. It is an invaluable experience.

What surprised you the most when you started at Tele2?
A little fun fact is that I am actually not new to Tele2. I started at Tele2 prior to my studies in one of the Tele2 stores. I was then pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful company it is. Tele2 is really a workplace where you can have fun and at the same time develop and feel that you are making a difference. We have incredibly good values that I think are very clearly reflected on its employees and their way of acting.

What made Tele2 stand out from other employers?
I have very few to compare with because I have spent most of my professional life at Tele2, but I would probably say the kind and helpful people and the strong corporate culture. I also like that Tele2 is constantly trying to increase the number of female employees. As a girl within IT, I think it is very important.

What part do you enjoy the most in your role as an IT talent?
I enjoy the fact that I already belong to a team that I get to learn a lot from. Also getting the chance to be a developer in a large company, while I have the training part with the remaining talents where we get to take courses and learn new programming languages. It is an educational and developing program with boundless opportunities and support.

How was the recruitment process?
It started with a logical test and a personality test. Then two interviews, an assessment day and three more interviews. Due to covid, all of my interviews were done remotely. Everyone was incredibly nice and managed to calm my nerves. It was a long but fair process.

Why do you recommend applying for the program?
It's a great way to start your career after graduating. It will be a smooth transition with lots of support and help and you get the chance to work with supportive managers and brilliant senior developers who happily teach you what they can.

What motivates you being at Tele2?
I have worked with the various systems in the stores for several years and have always been curious about knowing what is happening behind them. It means a lot to me to be part of those who develop the systems for something better to simplify the work for our colleagues so that they can offer our customers help effectively. I have learned so much and developed both on a personal and professional level since I started at Tele2, so for me it feels very natural to want to continue here after my studies.

How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time with my family. Either we try to find new movies to watch, go to the cinema, binge watch series, try new restaurants or take walks in the nature. If I’m not doing any of that I spend time with my friends or bake. I love baking.

What is the working environment like?
It is lovely and light. Each department has a special place in the office, but you can sit wherever you want, and everyone is nice and helpful. I go to work every day with a smile on my face and feel at the end of the day that I have had a good day, learned something new and look forward to the next day.
