Meet Nathalie

Nathalie Nygren, Excutive CEO Trainee, Stockholm, Sweden

What does it mean being a CEO traiee?

As the CEO trainee I support Tele2’s CEO in his day to day work, projects, leadership meetings and board meetings, in conjunction with various communication initiatives. I also get the opportunity to interact with the entire leadership team on a weekly basis and support them in various initiatives and projects.

What made Tele2 stand out from other employers?

The culture and the people were the main factors that poked my interest. I was especially drawn to the fast paced environment, openness and can-do attitude that transpires through the organization.

Best experience at Tele2 so far?

The opportunity to participate in weekly leadership team meetings and board meetings. Getting the opportunity to listen in to business related conversations and discussions on such a senior level is a very rewarding and educational experience!

What part do you enjoy the most in your role as trainee?

The opportunity to interact and learn from senior executives on a daily basis, observing their leadership style, approach and way of working is an invaluable opportunity.

What are the highlights of your day?

The most significant moment of every day is when I feel like I’ve learned something new, I love the fact that this program helps me through my professional development and the trainee role is designed to expose me to new challenges and learning opportunities every day.

What is your best career advice for students who are about to start their careers?

Be yourself and put your best foot forward, that will take you far! Assume ownership of all tasks assigned to you and make the most out of it, persistence and a go-getter attitude is key. Lastly, remember to challenge yourself while being patient, everyone has been in your position at some point in their career and it’s ok to make mistakes as long as you learn from them!

How much time to get to spend with the other trainees?

One of the best part of the trainee program is that I have five co-workers that are more or less in the same position as myself, we try to help each other on a daily basis and I for one appreciate that support. Additionally, we interact from time to time through various initiatives and we try to meet up for lunch to stay in touch in conjunction with the occasional happy hour!
