Meet Sara

Sara Onval, IT Talent

What does it mean being IT talent?

Being an IT talent means being able to learn, grow, and invest in myself to become a valuable asset for the team, the company, and myself.

What made Tele2 stand out from other employers?

The very first day when I came into the office at Tele2 for my assessment day, I noticed the open environment and diversity in ages, genders, and ethnicities. Everybody I talked to was kind and honest, and the interviews went smoothly. I left the office that day with a fantastic gut feeling, and it felt like this was the right workplace for me.

Describe a typical day at work?

My days at work looks different every day. Usually, the day starts off with a daily meeting. Afterward, I normally have the choice to either work with a task together with my team or spending time on courses. I have a helpful mentor, manager, and team whom I can ask if I have any questions. As a trainee you get to customize your traineeship however you want, which is great.

What part do you enjoy the most in your role as IT talent?

The part I enjoy the most as an IT talent is Wednesdays, when I get to meet the other talents and learn something new together with them. It feels great to have people around you who are in the same boat as you. I also like the fact that I have the time to learn and invest in myself to smoother onboard into the team.

What are the highlights of your day?

I feel like I ended up in the right place, so each moment is a highlight for me, "good" moments like when I contribute with something to my team and "bad" moments like when a server crashes. There is always something to learn from each moment, and I appreciate everything I encounter.

What is the working environment like?

The working environment is open and friendly. You can ask anybody for help, and anybody will be glad to help you. As for the team spirit, I have experienced that there is a will to contribute from everybody.

How do you spend your free time?

I like to spend my free time with my loved ones. I also prioritize and put great emphasis on taking care of my health. I make sure to train on a regular basis and to sleep and eat well.
