Julia Bergsten, EVP CTIO Trainee

What does it mean being a CTIO trainee? 
Being a CTIO trainee means taking a part of an exciting journey filled with the perfect combination of management and technology. It is about developing the mindset and skills to take on challenges, find opportunities and learn what it means to lead an organization. Especially being a trainee within the IT and technology organization, it means learning about the value and enabling technology that creates telecommunication.  

What surprised you the most when you started at Tele2? 
How talented and nice people are! Many of the previous trainees that now have new roles at Tele2 are reaching out to give support and get to know me. This type of networking and curiosity about us new trainees is something that happily surprised me.

What made Tele2 stand out from other employers? 
The journey that Tele2 is on, especially within the IT and Technology division called Digital Capabilities & Technology. It is a challenging step to merge these division, which intrigued me. Tele2 stood out with its vision to be the smartest telco.  

What part do you enjoy the most in your role as trainee? 
Understanding how an executive works on a daily basis to act on the business strategy. Also to get the umbrella perspective of a whole organization, to link opportunities and challenges in different areas.

How was the recruitment process? 
It was a great opportunity to get to know Tele2 and for us to get to know the company. Important factors like what drives you and what interest areas you have was something we talked about a lot.

Who do you recommend applying for the program? 
Anyone with the interest to learn more about how to work as an executive and who wants a kick-start in the career.

Fearless, as it resonates with the history of Tele2 as well as the future. 

What is most interesting/exciting about working at Tele2?
Working with people who have built up the industry in Sweden and abroad. Additionally, Tele2 has great values that resonates in the way we work daily and connects all of us together.
