Tele2 Netherlands and T-Mobile sign MVNO agreement
Stockholm - Tele2 AB, ("Tele2"), (OMX Nordic Exchange: TEL2 A and TEL2 B), today announced that Tele2 Netherlands has signed a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) agreement with T-Mobile for mobile services in the Netherlands.
The new agreement gives Tele2 Netherlands access to the 2G- and 3G-network of
T-Mobile and the opportunity to further develop its mobile services as a MVNO.
This means that Tele2 Netherlands independently can offer voice-, SMS- and mobile internet services to its customers. Today Tele2 is the largest MVNO in the Netherlands with more than 450.000 mobile customers.
Harri Koponen, President and CEO of Tele2 comments:"We are very pleased with the agreement which gives Tele2 improved margins on an already profitable market. The agreement also allows us to continue to offer high quality products and at the same time ensure our price leading position".
